  1. The “Steelbeast” CrossFire/EyeFinity Rig! Only $2k w/3 25in. Monitors!
This actually includes all the required accessories to run Eyefinity on Displayport for the lowest possible price. The GPU must be strictly chosen. It also includes tons of additional fans for the case and HSF! I left out a mechanical HDD as most everyone has those lying around. What do you think??
    Display: 3x ASUS 25in DisplayPort Monitors (Eyefinity) $689 (Newegg) [...] 6824236123
    GPU: (Crossfire) 2x XFX Radeon HD 6950 2GB Dual Mini-DisplayPort $495/AR (TigerDirect-Allows 2x Rebates!) [...] CatId=7005

Case: GAMMA Classic Series ATX Mid Tower $35 (Amazon) (Yes, the GPU's will fit!)
HSF: Cooler Master Hyper 212+ $27 (Amazon)
    Additional PWM 120mm Fan (Push/Pull) $9 (Amazon)
PWM Fan 4 Pin Y Cable $8 (Amazon)

Take out the monitors and stuff you may already have. This rig ROCKS!
  2. umm....thanks for the input Steebeast, in reviewing my build........I guess... :sarcastic:

    Anyone else....???

    Added info:

    1) the Corsair Power Supply was DOA when I received waiting for replacement... :fou:

    2) I'm increasing the memory to 16 Gb

    3) QUESTION - will the SSD I selected work OK with using it with the Gigabyte M'bd and set up for the caching with Intel Smart Response ?....

As I'm assembling the system, one thought though is that it's a HUGE case for the components I'm using...I wonder if a smaller case would be better...
