the manufacturer should give you a ram compatibility page, check the item numbers that are compatible before you buy for optimal performance and obviously compatibility. I'm at work and our internet is restricted so I can't find it for you right now but try googling "asus z68 v pro ram compatibility" and check the hyperX item number. It'll be something like KHX1600 c9d3k2 / 8gx <-- the ram I've just bought for my asrock extreme4 z77 If you can't find the compatibility page check you're motherboard's manual or try calling Asus to ask where to find it
