Ad hoc connection ics option not showing

Hello, i was using my computers internet connection from the ethernet to connect to my ipod via ics and ad hoc connection. everything was going fine until one time when i set up the ad hoc connection and set up the network the option to share internet connection did not show up so i cant connect to the internet to my ipod. any help?

adhoc is designed to connect two computers for file sharing -- ics is meant to connect a second Windows computer to enable internet access. I don't quite see how an iPod comes into these scenarios. To share internet wirelessly, a wireless router is the usual solution.
