Hello,
I recently installed a new XFX HD6950 replacing an XFX HD4890 and I started to have crashes first to a screen with 1/8th inch wide white vertical stripes with dark pinstripes and lately to a solid orange screen. It dosen't respond to control/alt/del, but does reboot back to Windows in normal mode. The GPU does not get over 43 degrees. I got the latest drivers for the GPU from XFX when I installed it, not bothering with the disc. I have run all the diagnostics in Win 7, Microsoft Fix It and a memory test but nothing works. Only thing I can think of is a driver conflict with the old HD4890 but not sure how to check and remove.

Any suggestions gratefully accepted

Hi iam2thecrowe

That's the suggestion I got from XFX support so I'll try that and let you know how it goes and I'll give you best answer if that solves my problem.

Thanks
