A VERY timely article! I wanted to upgrade but it is forced upon me. My XFX 8800gt failed. I had an very old 8400 something that enabled me to use my rig.Between NEWEGG & Tiger direct I only find Sparkle & MSI 450GTS,no AFOX or ECS at all. From what I've read here ---Sparkle is not reliablesucks & the MSI card is too loud. Are there any others?
Cannot get new comp for another year so can't go that route.
AIEEE!!! My games suck or won't play!

Just get a used XFX 8800gt from ebay to hold you over until you get that new rig!

nice reply; .....so Ishould get something used that has probably a month left beforre it fails too?
Move up, not down or sideways.
I need a better card not junk.
