Im building a new pc and i need to get a good fan and heatsink to go with these parts:

- ASUS Sabertooth 990FX AM3+ AMD 990FX
- AMD FX-6100 Zambezi 3.3GHz Socket AM3+
- G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB)
- Cooler Master Storm Scout Case Mid Tower

I've been reading alot about clearence issue with regards to the memory height and certain heatsinks. I need a fan and heatsink that will clear the height of my memory (I plan on go full 16gb later) and not be too wide for my case.

Thanks in advance.

Will you be doing any overclocking?
I heard AMD chips get pretty toasty when OC'd.

I'd personally recommend this:

Fantastic air cooler and more or less silent when the fans are turned down. Comes with a second fan for a push/pull config. Not very pricey and will last you a while.

Keeps my i5 2500k under 65C OC'd to 4.5ghz under load on prime for 8 hours. Rock solid when installed. looks pretty sweet to :)

I'm using a Cooler Master V8 in my Scout case. There is plenty of room for memory with heatsinks underneath it. It has a nice high profile. In fact, it barely overhangs the first two memory slots.
