My power button dosnt work!!!

i was currently trying to build a computer and I thought everything was going great. I have a gigabyte GA-H61M-S2H motherboard and i have done whatever the manual has said to do about it but the power button still dosnt work. any help? sorry im a newbie.

check the wiring of the power button to the mobo make sure its plugged into the right pins and the polarity is correct.

I have... is it possible that the front panel wires are no good?

Yes it is possible.

Sometimes they can get loose, check the front of the case if the connectors are damaged or have come loose.

it seems that the cables are alright... is there any other way to power up the mobo?
