As i was suggested to get HD 5670 2.0 of Sapphire as i have a pcie 1.0a interface..... i went to the shop they tell me they have sapphire 5670 1gb 2.1 version

Then i just check the website of sapphire again but Sapphire doesn't manufactured any pcie 2.1 graphics card so how can they have this card????? this was shocking :pt1cable: for me i just fully decided to get this card.............

And i am wondering that they are selling pcie2.0 version cards in the name of pcie2.1 card as they are fully compatible with each other...
because the website of sapphire doesn't show any pcie2.1 card..... what i do about this should i go for it.......

please reply it is very urgent........

ya i found one "HD 5670 flex" with specification of pcie 2.1

but on there system requirements they require only one X16 slot, and not any pcie 2.0 or 2.1 slots.... SO I think it is not recommended by sapphire to have specifically a type of X16 slots they just telling us to have a single X16 slots so i think even HD 5670 flex will do on pcie 1.0a.....

all 5xxx series are 2.1 regardless of what it says on their website or specs sheet. I have a 6850 on a pcie 1.0 slot and it works fine, although this is not the case always, some older boards dont play nice with the newer ati cards. If your unsure maybe just go for a nvidia gt240. What motherboard do you have?
