Hey everyone, I browsed through newegg and make a more specific version of my question:

How should I build 1500$ Gaming Desktop?

Approximate Purchase Date: within two weeks

Budget Range: 1200 - 1500

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Game, School, Movie

Parts Not Required: speakers

I do not have a very clear conception of everything I chose. Some of them maybe a waste and some may not be compatible. And I have some questions, I hope there is somebody to optimize my choices.
1. Is i7-2600 a big difference from i5-2500? is it worth it?
2. Which one better meets my need for GPU, Nvidia or AMD?
3. Is Crossfire too luxurious/SLI for my budget?
Will anyone give me some advice?

a 2600 costs a lot and wont give value for a gamer . But a 2500K will , since you can overclock it .

you will have good gaming with nVidia or AMD graphics cards in that budget range . I would be tempted to buy a single 6950 and see if you get the performance you want

a 30 gig SSD will allow you to install windows and a game or two . Its too small to be practical IMO . 120 gig makes more sense

hmmm.... looks good, but you should probably get a z68 board, it will let you use the ssd as a cache with your regular hard drive. and for gaming at 1080p you wont need more than a 6950.

as for the i7-2600, for gaming there isnt much difference. you will only see a differnece if you are using heavily threaded applications cuz the i7 has hyperthreading where the i5 doesnt.

if you plan on watching movies in 3d then nvidia would be better since its easier to set up and easier to find monitors for.

and for your budget sli and crossfire isnt too luxurious. toms recommends getting 2 6850/6870 instead of a single 6970 for that much money.

thanx dude, the parts I have chosen cost roughly 1100$ so I still have some budget room..
Is there anywhere I can cut the price off? because I still have to add power supply, keyboard, monitor and heatsink
