Hello,

I have a Gigabyte GA-MA785GPMUS2H motherboard and an AM2 processor, I was trying to upgrade to a six core phenom. The processor is supported, but I made the mistake of not upgrading the BIOS first. Now it boots checks the RAM, and freezes when going to IDE detection. Naturally the first thing I did was to switch back to the original processor. I have checked all of the RAM in another computer, boots fine. I have cleared the CMOS multiple times, this enables me to get it to allow one input, but then it says entering setup at the bottom and freezes there. I have left the battery out overnight in hopes of clearing the BIOS, didn't help. My question is what are some other things I can try?
