Video Card Issue/Diagnosis

My PC screen freezes, but windows still works. During one screen freeze right when Windows was booting up; I could here the startup music. To test this weird issue I shut down the PC with the screen still frozen using the keyboard. Even though I can't see it with my own eyes, it seems only the display is affected by the lockup.

I've run memory tests, anti-virus sweeps, check disk scans on all hard drives with no issues.

However, when I ran I looked at my temps, they were too high. I cleaned out the dust with an air duster, which lowered the temps, but I think the damage has already been done to my VC. I let the dust maintenance go for way too long. What was before just a once a day lockup is now happening almost immediately on startup.

Would others agree that my 4 year old graphics card (a GeForce 8800 GTX) needs replacing? And that has a good shot at solving the screen lockups?
