DDR3 for a laptop

I have a Samsung R580 I5-430 laptop, with 4GB of DDR3/PC3 8500 RAM. I want to go to 8GB (max). Can I use a different type of DDR3, such as 1600 or 2133?

You should use the smae type of ram with the same timings and voltage as the original ram equipped with the system.

Sorry about that. I actually meant to say I wanted to replace the old RAM with a new set of 8GB, if possible.

Crucial says you can put 1333 ram in there but doesn't show anything faster
