I'm using a RAM virtual disk and i need a little more space, can i add my old g.skill with my kingston 8gb? I know i would lose the dual channel and there's a risk of conflicts like blue screen and screen freezing but there's any risk to the hardware, like overheating or burnout?

No real worries about actual component failure just about if they'll work together or not as you stated.
