Hey,

You can't change your username because that is the identifier for your account. Most sites are like this in that everything is changeable but your username. If you really want a new username, you will have to make a new account.

Are you allowed multiple accounts? Check the ToC!

Thank you very much for your replys in this matter,
I have tried making a new account justinblue, but toms hardware will not let me because it says that my email address allready as a account with toms hardware, so it seems you can only have 1 active account and not multiple.

Also I checked that forum link amdfangirl, thanks,
but as the pop group> girls aloud say (I cant speak french da daa da, do do do do doo I cant speak french do do be do do do do dooo),
Sorry Im not very good at singing thats the best I could do.
Any thanks again for the replys, I may have to some how delete my account from toms hardware and start again.

No, that link is for deleting your account so that you can make a new one. Only one account can use the same email address, which is why you couldn't register another with the same email. You need to remove your current one first.

Hi,

Randomizer is correct.

Unless you use a provider that allows you multiple emails directed into the same account.

Hmm, your help is welcome, but I must be missing something here, the idea to delete my account was a idea I thought of as well and then opening a new one, but on that link >http://www.tomshardware.com/membres/?action=termination
I still cant find the option where it will let me delete my acount, Im clearly missing something here if the option is there somewhere, or Im just plain stupid !

Reply to jason73

Umm, I'm not sure what you mean. You filled out the form and never got the confirmation request to delete your account?

Right on that link you get the following 4 options,

1>>Log in..which is just asking for user name & password.

2>>Register for free..which is just asking for username/password/email, but you cant re register if you allready have a active account.

3>>You have lost your username or password..which they ask you for your email then toms hardware just email you back to tell you what your username is and password.

4>>Your account is deactivated.. which all they do is ask you for your email address, then reply with a message saying this email is still in use.

There is no option where you can delete your account or fill a form out and get a confirmation request to delete your account.

Yaaaa,
Ok justin this is going to sound weird, for some reason its my desktop pc that will not find that link you gave me because I just logged into toms hardware and then into the forum on my laptop and the link is there for canceling my account,
so all this time it was my desktop pc that was directing me to the wrong page when I clicked on that link, I dont know why this was happening, it must be some kind of bug on my desktop, but anyway thx, Im going to cancel my account on my laptop now,
just incase I cant rejoin after terminating my account I would also like to say thank you to Amdfangirl & randomizer for your replys in this as well,

I can see the light, I can see the light,

Ok justin thx for your reply to this topic,
shame it couldn`t be much easyier to change my user name, it would save alot of trouble, but never mind its not killing me, I will just beat my brother up for putting my user name in, it was his fault.

Any excuse to beat your brother up is always appropriate ... :)

Im still here,

Reply to jason73

I say just create another account with a different e-mail. Either that or change the e-mail associated with your current account, then create a new account with your current e-mail.

Ha good thinking batman(justin) I will try that, thx a bunch

Reply to jason73

Just change it into an obscure email like fse_129@yahoo.com or something ;)

Reply to amdfangirl

The changing of the email address worked, funny how something so simple would resolve my problem when I was expecting something more problematic, I may change my Avator when I find something more suitable.

would like to thank amdfangirl, justinblue, and anyone else in this matter.
