Hi Everyone, was previously running 2x Gigabyte Ati HD4870x2 (crossfire X dx10.1) graphic cards and then got a single Nvidia GTX 480 (dx11) cheap of my uncle's bro. Like usual, life sucks as got made redundant so need to make money and considering selling either the pair of ati cards or the single GTX 480. NOW thats the problem, which card do you think I should keep?
I play mostly Black Ops online, L4D2, Crysis 2 etc (FPS games).

All advice would be much appreciated.

Thanx Peeps

System Spec

Phenom II x4 965be @ 4.0ghz 1.409V,

Thermalright Silver Arrow cpu cooler,
GTX 480,
4x 2gb G.Skill Ripjaws 1600mhz memory @ 8.8.8.24 - 1.65V,
CPU/NB @ 1.25V,
Lian Li PC-P80R case.

Sorry to hear that. If it was my decision i'd keep my GTX480 purely for the DX11 stuff and make some money selling the 2 4870x2.

if its me i will keep that GTX480 due to the simplicity of the card being a single gpu card. as a plus side the card also support latest version of DX.

Actually any DX 10 graphics card supports DX 11 graphics. Its just that the newer cards have better support and tesselation i.e just performance. It depends on whether you wanna keep the GTX 480 or wanna sell it for more money than by selling the 4870 X 2

If the money is the real priority, you can probably sell the GTX480 more easily (quickly) for more money.

To OP:
If you need money fast, offer both for sale and keep whatever is not bought.

All DirectX 10 graphics cards support DirectX 11 games. The newer graphics cards just have better performance with the newer games

It does, but you will not be able to turn on the DX11 features of the game. So the game will run in DX10/9 mode.

So, if anyone is interested in activating the DX11 features in a DX11 game, a DX11 graphics card should be used.
