A70 wont work with my motherboard?

I have the following
-AMD phenom II x555
-GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
-corsair A70 cpu cooler

for some reason i couldnt get the bottom bracket holder to fit through the holes of my motherboard? has anyone else had this problem and/or knows how to fix it?

if it not get settled then there is no way to fix it.

For AMD that cooler uses the stock motherboard bracket. Are you missing the directions?

no but when i try to use the underside bracket that is supposed to hold the cooler on it is too wide and short to fit in the holes around the cpu
