Hello everyone,

I have a 500R from Corsair as well as a Hyper 212 EVO and I'm finding that the fans that come with such devices are loud and they don't seem to pull/push much air.

So, I decided to go back to the market and pick some of the best case/CPU fans out there. And now I'm looking for some suggestions as to which fans I should get.

There are three main factors that I'm considering for my new fans:

:non:  NO LED'S!--- Sorry but I not a fan of LED fans. Some people think it's cool, and I have nothing against people who love LED fans. For me, however, LED lights serve no purpose other than an aesthetic purpose. In case you're wondering since I have a 500R case that comes with LED fans, one of the main features that made me buy this case besides the space, cable management capabilites, etc. was the fact that it had a on/off switch to turn on/off the LED fan lights. I will only get LED fans if they completely blow every other non LED fan out of the water.

CFM/Great ability to pull/push air--- This is something that I'm very concerned. If it doesn't have good CFM then why change fans?

Low Acoustical Noise/dB(A)--- I want something that pushes/pulls a decent amount of air but I'm not looking to have a jet engine going off in the living room when I'm playing Crysis. I'd say 35dB(A) will be a good limit. Nothing beyond that please.

Thank you in advance for all your suggestions.

Thanks! I was kind of thinking about Noctua when it came to case/CPU fans. They don't push/pull air as much as other fans but they are by far the most silent.

Do you own any of those fans?

Thanks for your suggestion.

I basically have the exact same case (400R) and did the same thing you did, tossed the corsair fans

I replaced them with enermax TB silent fans (easily the most silent fans I ever owned)

scythe 800rpm fans also run silent and are actually fairly accurate on stats (99% of fans are pure BS on stats) but try to stay under 1200rpm if you want a really silent fan

here is a good review site that actually uses sound tests rather then marketing material on the box to judge fans
