Error in Device Manager

Hi there

Ive a Dimension PC from Dell.

However ive no sound and in DM im getting a exclamation mark next to Ethernet Controller and Multimedia Controller

Ive installed a new graphics card disabled the onboard but no sound

Any ideas please

try to update the driver. if you know what the chipset is (i suspect intel) then go to their website and download the latest drivers. don't trust what windows update comes up with for hardware updates!

You can go straight to dell's site and choose the right drivers there. It will narrow it down to your specific model and OS.

The ethernet driver isn't a problem unless you are hooked up using an ethernet cord (hooked to the modem or straight to router). If you are using wireless adapter, you don't need that driver.
