Choosing a TV Tuner

I am planning on added a TV Tuner to my HTPC. I currently run XBMC on this on Win7 OS.
I was looking at two TV tuners:

My concerns are - will these work with XBMC (including recording & pausing TV), will I be able to receive HD channels eg BBC HD and is there any reason why one should be more expensive than the other?

Lastly, what is the difference between DVB-S and DVB-T

DVB-S is satellite and DVB-T is terrestrial
