Is This Good Enough?

I want to be to run most modern games at at least med to ultra settings.

I will be buying the 2100 at a microcenter for $ 99 , but how much difference would i see between the 2100 and the i5 2400?
Is it worth shelling out an extra $50?

Other then gaming (mw3,2, fallout etc) i mostly do surfing and listen to music

I personally would spend the $50! You would get a nice midrange rig. get a quality 500-600watt PSU instead of a generic700watt!
