8gb ram

right people, building my own system t-bird case, phenom ii x4 850 3.3ghz, 500 watt alpine silent psu, gigabyte mb, antec kulher h20, samsung dvd, ati 5450 graphics card, 8 gb corsair vengeance.

my question is my motherboard is compatible with 32gb ram so it has 4 slots, i was thinking of getting 1x8gb of ram as 8gb i more than enought, so should i get 1x8gb or 4x2gb i was thinkn 4x2gb so i get dual channel 2gb for each core

All that ram would be useless for games, 8gb is all you need. Am I looking at the same post? The 5450 cannot even play bf3 on low. This isn't a new build is it? I am assuming it's just an upgrade with old parts listed but nothing was really explained. Nor what you will be using it for.

There's nothing wrong with a non gaming pc, every computer has its uses. Plus you can always upgrade anything on that desktop. Just needs a better gpu and it'll play every game. How much did it cost?
