I5 2500k prime95 temps

hi,

i ran prime95 to see if my new pc was stable, but i couldn't find a definite answer if the temps were ok. After 30 minutes the core temps stayed around 65c, and the tjmax was 33c . what would be safe temp for stock before i need to worry?

its not over clocked and on stock cooler

  1. Temps look perfect for a stock cooler. Ideally keep load temps under 70 degrees, but anything up to 80 is also ok. Only after 80 would you need to start considering adding some after-market cooling.

Idle temps of around 30 degrees, and load temps of around 65 are very average for i5-2500k so id say everything looks good :)

Stability is shown by Prime95 not returning any errors. All boxes are still green and all passes returned correct values :)

Bottom line; Your stable, with good temps :)
  2. one more question what is tjmax?

other than that, thanks a lot!

TJMax stands for something like Junction Temperature Maximum and is simply the safe temperature a CPU will reach before shutting itself down or throttling the clockspeed down to prevent damage.
