Gtx 560 athlon x2 5200+

How severe is the bottleneck? I am tired of laggy games and am planning on buying a gtx 560.I have a very old rig and my current specs are: asus m2nmx se mobo, 2gb ddr2 ram, 9500gt and the x2 5200+. Now between the 560 and a decent psu I won't have the money to upgrade my cpu. Now if upgrading the gfx card is a very bad idea acc. to you guys ...then what should I do?and yea I will be playing at a resolution of 1600x900.

Edit:This is just for 6-7 months...i will be able to save up some money until then...

My little brother has an older AMD dual core and a 5770. It's surprisingly good, even runs BF3 at medium. Not at constant 60 fps, no, but playable.
