Ati driver wont install windows 7

Hello,
I have a Asus G73jh, and i just did a clean install of windows 7, i install the supplied graphics driver and it says im running a generic VGA graphics card when im actually running an ATI HD RADEON 5870!?!?!?! WTF?
Any help would be great.

I have that laptop too. Did you get the latest chipset and video driver from the ASUS web site?
