Hello All!
I Picked up an original Crosshair mother board a while back, and decided this morning that i may as well use its full potential an over clock my phenom 9550.
i assumed my psi would be up to the task as it was rated at 780W, i am too lazy to take the side off my case to check the amp ratings. So that said i went on my way and over clocked the CPU, and then my ASUS GTX 560ti TOP which apparently draws 291W at the over clock I did.
i noticed that the PSU was getting warm and the fan was at full tilt while stress testing, but i expected this would you? :wahoo:

Well half way through Furmark 1.9.1 the PSU make a nice blue colour and made sounds like fire crackers with absolutely no warning, the PC was stable and so were the voltages on CPUID

Have any of you had previous run ins with it? and should this had happened?

What psu would you recommend with this set up? presuming that the rest still works of course :??:
