Video card won't fit in case

There are usually tiny screws that hold the latches. Look very closely for screws. If there are no screws, it is probably just a snap-in latch. But I am not too familiar with those. Most of the latches I worked with had screws that held them in.

But please wait for another answer because I am not 100% sure.
 
I'm not getting the connection between 'don't fit in case" and Motherboard "latches will not pull up". I can't imagine the latches in any way hitting the case.

The latches normally "catch" on their own when the card is pressed into places in the slot. Is the card hitting something (not mentioned) that prevents the card from being pushed all the way into it's slot ?
