welcome to the forums newcomer
1| if your not a big gamer than i don't see the need to overclock on that old system
2| you have two ram dimms from two manufacturers - an issue with using two dif dimms while OC'ing
3| PSU is the issue here get a reliable 500W PSU and it should keep you happy until you'd want to swap out the mobo/ram/cpu/gpu
4| i see you have a 600MHz OC on it now...hows it holding ground?

Right ignore the psu suggestions as the chieftec should be made by fsp and is almost certainly able to cater for what is a low draw system. So far as cpu limits are concerened the average for that chip is about 3.5ghz with some getting up to 4ghz with better cooling.

That said if you dont game why do you need to ?, or is it just for the sake of trying ?.

Either way the cpu is 65w rated and even if you clocked it to 3.5ghz then it wouldnt get over 85w. The gpu is (although nvidia lie blatenty about power consumption of their gpu's) a low power card so Id say your entire rig flat out will be in the 180w range, hence saying the psu is fine. To double check that however can you state what the +12v rail's amps are please ?. If anything over 20amps your fine. I should think its about 25amps however, and possibly you have 2 12v rails of about 15amps each peak ?.

Anyway just go for it and remember to keep the ram as close to stock speeds as possible with multiplier changes in the bios but any ram will clock up 10-20% normally without issue anyway.

the first is the guide to help you in your endeavor , while the latter two are what people had to say about OC'ing on that chipset

oldie mentioned it before(on some thread), don't expect much out of a budget chip like the G31/41's...lets face it , its not enthusiast grade. So think lower than 4GHz on any Core2+ that mobo
