Firstly, i apologize if this is the wrong section but i cant imagine it would go anywhere else... :/

I am wondering what the greatest bottleneck is in my system... provided there is a bottleneck.

My comp:
AMD Phenom x3 8400 @2.1ghz
3GB pc6400 ddr2 ram
NVidia GTS 450 (Asus non TOP edition).

I have a feeling that my processor may be in severe need of an upgrade but I'm not sure if its really bottlenecking that 450 or not. Its an AM2+ motherboard but I know I can slap a AM3 phenom 2 in there and rock away. Just trying to judge if its really going to be worth it or not. I'm willing to upgrade the ram too if needed but I'm not sure more than 3GB is really necessary.

Will a CPU upgrade really yield a noticeable difference or a minor one? I'm not one for having high end components just to have them and I'm not really in the market for a new system yet.

Any help you could provide would be most appreciated.

P.S. on a side note, is a 64bit os any faster for gaming(other than the capacity for more ram)?
