Wouldn't it been better if instead of bulldozer having 2 identical execution units per module AMD made one unit larger and one unit smaller. That way you get really good single thread performance and still have good multi threaded performance. Plus it would be a good mobile processor, cause if you where just surfing the net, word document or other light task the larger execution unit could be turned off to increase battery life.

All speculation! All I know is that they themselves must be disappointed with the overall outcome which explains the delays in release!
