Hello,
I upgraded my gpu; gddr3 Gigabyte ati radeon hd 4850 which uses PCI E *16 2.0 to a gddr5 galaxy gtx465 which uses also PCI E *16. As the new gpu requires a higher power, i replace my old psu to a new one which give more power than the new gpu needs.

But Here is the problem. I'm using 2 monitors, and the monitors works fine with my old gpu, but not the new gpu. The monitors don't receive any signal from the new gpu, so the monitors show no HDMI thing, but I do hear Windows starting sound.

So, i asked this situation to the galaxytech. They suggested disabling my old gpu driver and set the new one so that the new gpu is recognized. That didn't work. Also, they asked me to use Sweeper which is a software that uninstalls video drivers and their registry in the pc. I did it too. That didn't solve the problem.

What do you think the probelm is?
I guess the new gpu might be faulty, or i can't use gddr5 gpu on my pc. Help me guys.

I'm listing my pc info below.

Can you get in windows with safe mode? Also are you sure you have plugged all the necessary 6-pin connectors? Finally, try different slots on the gpu as they may be the culprit.

Do you mean i can get in windows with safe mode with the old gpu? Yes, i can.

If i tried to do, I maybe get in windows with safe mode with the new one too. But the problem is that i can't see anything on the monitor, because the monitor show no input signal.

The new gpu requires 2 6-pins power. I plugged two of them correctly.

if your getting no signal its either your not doing it right, or its a faulty card

if your using 2xMolex to 1x6 pin pcie converters you need BOTH molex plugs per converter plugged in etc (4 molex total etc) (molex = 4 pin connector)

no drivers are needed for a system to POST
