What is your full system specifications
Did you recently change anything? reassemble?
Were you having any problems recently before it stopped?

Full specs, please.
If you have a graphics card, the monitor should be plugged into it, not into the motherboard.

Actually thats not necessarily true, as you can set the default to boot from motherboard anyways, which brings up a good point.

If you do have a video card, and onboard graphics, try the onboard graphics connector.

By "boot from motherboard" do you mean use onboard video? Yes, you could do that with a graphics card in, but you'd have to have changed that setting.
