8800gts noises after cleaning?

So yesterday I was having problems with the new drivers for my card so I just went back to the old ones and everything was going fine.

Well a few minutes ago I was playing a game and both of my monitors froze up and had some weird colors going on so I just turned it off and let it sit for awhile. After I turned it on and it happened again I decided to take my card out and clean it with some compressed air.

I get everything back up and running and I heard some odd noise, sort of like a quiet fizz, that I've never heard before, and then every few minutes I hear a loud popping noise. I know it's not from my speakers because I only have headset connected that I wasn't using. I have the computer turned off right now because I don't want something to blow up.

Any idea what's going on?

Do you have CRT monitors? if they are really old and dust they can set on fire, its happened to me, it was all the dust burning from the heat generated by the screen.

Nope, they're both LCD

Did you run something like HW monitor to see your temps while gaming? if not download it and see if anything is overheating.

Well the noises started right after I cleaned it. It started popping with only Chrome open.
