Not sure if this is the right place to put it, so mods please move if necessary

Anyway, i have an older gaming PC which i want to sell and use the money to build a newer better one. Now i'm not actually selling PC here, i just want to get an opinion as to how much you think the PC is worth in today's market.

CPU: Inter Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.0 GHz

MoBo: Asus P5Q-Deluxe

RAM: 8GB 800MHz DDR2

GPU: 2 individual Radeon 4870's 1GB in crossfire

PSU: Corsair 800 watt

CD/DVD: Sony DVD/CD burner

CPU Cooler: Xigmatek Dark Knight

HDD: 640GB Western Digital 7200 rpm

Case: Cooler Master mid tower case

Other: Memory card reader and temp/fan control system on the front

So, how much you guys think i can get for this on craigslist?

Id say 400 tops unless you find some little kid that you can whack for more but as a gamer/pc builder myself I personally would not pay more thqan 350-400 for it, you have nice components they are just old and furthermore that platform offers basically no upgrade path given that the C2Quads are a ripoff in the aftermarket price/perf wise, that is my 2 cents

I would keep your gpus if you like them and upgrade to a 990 or p67/z-68 setup, without the gpus you might still be able to pull 2-300 for the rest of your system, if you part it all off separate you can probably net a bit more but then again its more of a pain for you

Thank you.

That's what i was afraid of :(

i have a $1500 dollar build planned out, and i was hoping to net at least $600 with my old rig.

Not even sure if its worth selling at this point, probably better off giving it to my brother. Unless i can find a little kid to scam :p

haha yeah,

keep it or give it to little bro, he can proabably only dream of having a second hand system as nice.... I would just start saving but honestly you do not need a 1500 budget to build an excellent gaming rig these days, id say 800-1000 would get you a sick rig! so the choice is up to you

I was considering this, but the only thing im afraid of is selling of most of the parts and then getting stuck with the pointless stuff like, ddr2 ram and cd drive -_-

ddr2 is actually more valuable on the aftermarket then ddr3 sometimes, trust me look at ebay, besides that you will need to buy new ram anyways, well that a lot of stuff to ponder
