i think my motherboard may have something wrong with it. I have all the drivers for it installed and windows says its all the newest drivers. I decided to put the driver cd in the computer to see if that would help. nope. Whenever I plug in headphones regardless of if it's front panel or straight into the motherboard I won't get any sound. I click the sound icon but it says "The peripheral does not appear to be plugged in". I've gone into Playback and Devices and it says "Not plugged in", Therefore I can't set it as default. And yes, the audio is enabled in the bios. Any help at all will be appreciated. Thanks so much.

did you install the sofware for your audio device? if so, open the app. follow these
go for settings
look for the option to disable or enable jack detection
disable jack detection for front fanel
save your work.
exit, then try to plug you headphones
its a issue with boards that have it auto detection,
hope that helps
