Updating BIOS error

I was attempting to update my BIOS because I am buying a 6 core bulldozer. Went to the manufactures website and downloaded the latest BIOS update. When I tried to run the file an error message popped up saying the download was only for 32-bit Windows and is not compatible with my 64 bit version. I have searched the site and I can not find a 64 bit file for my computer, nor can I find where it says the download is only for 32 bit.

Any help would be appreciated.

Forgot to mention I am currently have the 990fxa ud3 motherboard running the f2 version. Latest BIOS is f9c.

How are you attempting to update the bios, from a USB stick, from within windows? Try using an alternate method.
