Can you Start Compr Without Heatsink?

Ok my question is can you start a computer without a heatsink even for 1 sec.. or some motherboards will not allow it.? And yes i know if you dont have a heatsink you can fry the CPU..

If you do modern hardware will shut down before harm to the CPU. Absolutely not recommended though!

You can but once it hits its heat limit it will shut off and give you a thermal event warning next time you boot. Why do you want to do that it seems pointless and very risky.
