XFX 5770 and 6850 Black edition performance on these games at1366x768

In terms of fps, what is their performance at 1366x768 since this is the max res. for my lcd.I could save some money if their performance is similar at 1366x768

I have never seen the cards compared at that low of a resolution to give a definitive answer, but, I'd opt for the 6850 now if at all possible, in case you choose to upgrade to a 1920x1080 monitor for $160 later.....

both cards will max out battlefield bad company 2 and crysis 2 at that resolution.Both the 6850 and xfx 5770 will run metro 2033 on very high,tessellation on but no depth of field

I would still expect the 6850 to be faster, having more pipelines, etc....

And once a larger monitor is acquired, someone will likely then wish they had the 6850, which is ~45% faster at 1920x1080....

The 5770 is even slower than the GTX550Ti, .....which is .....slow.

6850 is only 27% faster than 5770

Depends on your cpu. At that resolution, there is as much or more load on the cpu as the gpu. At a higher resolution the load would be mostly on the gpu.

Well if that's the case you shouldn't purchase anything better than the 5770.It will max out all the games you listed with fps to spare and will even run future games at max.
@everyone.The resolution he uses is less than even 1280X1024.The 5770 will destroy all games at that rez
