First Build, 1000$ budget

Hello everyone, I am building my first PC and it feels like a daunting process right now. I was referred to this community and was told that you wouldn't be to harsh. In advance, thank you everyone

1. Usage will be largely for gaming.
2. I'm not sure which sites are preferred when it comes to ordering parts.
3. I'm in Canada so I'm not sure how large the price variation is for parts compared to the states.
4. I don't have any brand preference.
5. I'd be willing to try overclocking, though the idea still scares me a little.
6. I'm not sure the difference between SLI and Crossfire
7. I think, that being the keyword that 1280x1024 is good for resolution



Additional Comments: I need everything with the exception of a keyboard, mouse, and headset. The case doesn't need to be pretty or anything like that, and again thanks for taking the time to read this post.

I'll try to help you

1) The best chipset for gaming is p67. So it'd be better to get a p67 motherboard
2) I'm not expert about Canada, but newegg.com also works there and has got amazing prices

5) Overclocking is a great idea, simply follow the forum on this site and ask for help, somebody will tell you how to improve the performances of your system and you will get it

6) SLI is a double Nvida VGA. Crossfire is a double AMD VGA
7) Nowaday a good resolution is 1920*1080. It will fit your budget!
