With the stock 300W power supply you are limited to graphics cards that don't require a seperate power cable; cards that get all their power from the PCIe x16 slot. Your 9600GS/9600GSO card is about the most powerful you can use. Here are some AMD cards that improve on your existing card, but only by a small margin.

If you feel like tackling a power supply upgrade, you can go with a card that will game at much better framerate at higher resolutions. If not, the cards in the list above should give you good framerates at 1680x1050 and lower depending on the amount of eye candy you use.
