Hello,

This is the first time I have built a computer. Ever since I have put it together it has been randomly restarting / locking up. Recently it has been locking up rather than restarting, which it had done initially.

I have tried:

1) Re-seating ram.

2) Installing a second fan. - I don't think temperature is the issue.

3) Removing graphics card - I originally felt it may have something to do with the the card drawing too much from the PSU, so I removed it and let the mobo take care of the graphics. Unfortunately the problem still persists.

My system specs:

ASUS P8Z68-V Pro Socket 1155 Intel Z68 Chipset

Intel Core i7-2600K Quad-Core Socket LGA 1155, 3.40Ghz, 8MB L3 Cache

G SKILL RipJaws Series 16 GB (4 x 4GB)

EVGA GeForce GTX560 1024MB GDDR5

Thermaltake TR2 RX 650W

Windows 7 64 bit.

I would greatly appreciate any help.

Thanks,

** An update: Since removing the vid card, when it locks up an array of yellow pixels fill the screen. It used to just lock up with no pixels while the vid card was installed.

Still haven't fixed my problem yet...Too busy with work. Now that I have some time over the holidays I am trying different things.

I have recently ran memtest and encountered this:

On the second time:

Now, I'm not sure how to decipher this or how to fix this....

Both times the computer would eventually restart. The second time it locked up before restarting.

Any help would be appreciated..
