I bought a Dell L667r Desktop PC running windows 98SE from a yard-sale. When I try installing Netgear PCI wireless adapter it says I don't have the right to install the software. It says I need to be logged in as administrator. I have no way of knowing what to do. Thanks

This may not sound like very kind advice but any machine running 98 is pretty old by now given that it was superseded at least 11 years ago.

Also wireless networking on 98 is a pain.

My advice, add some memory to the machine and find a copy of XP.

You'll thank me.

If you have an XP install CD start the install from the CD, there shouldn't be any issue over Administrator rights then.
