Upgrade for a Core 2 Quad Q8200

Hey everyone, i currently have a Core 2 Quad Q8200, but am looking for something about the same price, and will fit on my current mother board, ASUS p5p43td. LGA 775. I know it will probably be another Core 2 Quad, but which one. I am on a budget of around $200.

If you find somewhere Q 9450, Q 9550 or Q 9650. They are very expensive on Amazon is 365$ http://www.amazon.com/Intel-Processor-2-83GHz-1333MHz-BX80569Q9550/dp/B0012WDMNC with those money you buy a new i5 2500k , good motherboard and memory and you have a new pc.

The Intel® Core™ 2 Quad Q9450, Q9550 or Q9650 were the last in the of the populor soccket 775 and even though they have been discontinued for 3+ years now still have a lot of demand for them has remained high.

i dont even think dwindling supply justifies how rediculous the price is, when you can get a whole motherboard, ram and CPU upgrade for less.

You can get the Q9400 it offers a greater clock speed and larger cache and is available for less then $200. It would be hard to find a new Q9400 now although it is available here in Pakistan.

The Intel® Core™ 2 Quad Q9400 2.66 was going for $183 to $200 new while the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 3GHz was going for $316 to $339. There is 340 MHz clock differences and double the amount of cache on it. http://ark.intel.com/compare/35365,35428
