here is my setup

haf x tower
i5 2500k
msi p67a-gd53 mobo
hyper 212 heatsink
gtx 460 sli
diablotek 600w psu
1tb hdd
120gb sdd

I want a better PSU that is affordable (about 100 bucks), fully modular, and enough watts to sustain me for a while (850w maybe?). Suggestions?

For a system using two GeForce GTX 460 graphics cards in 2-way SLI mode NVIDIA specifies a minimum of a 600 Watt or greater power supply that has a combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 40 Amps or greater and that has at least four 6-pin PCI-Express supplementary power connectors.

The following modular power supply units are within your budget and are all more than fully capable of powering a system with two GeForce GTX 460 graphics cards in 2-way SLI mode:

ENERMAX NAXN 82+ 750W (ENM750AWT) for $99.99

OCZ 750W Fatal1ty Series for $99.99

PC Power and Cooling Silencer Mk III 600W (PPCMK3S600) for $89.99 ($69.99 after mail-in rebate card)

I am very happy with my Corsair 750TX, modular. Its not 100% modular, but the essentials are hardwired in. they make an 850W version. They are single +12V rails. Mine supports >60A of +12V current. Got in at Newegg w/ Mail in rebate to bring it down to about $90.
