Hello, I am going to make a gaming rig but I am not sure whether to get Intel i5 2500k w/ GTX 460 or AMD Phenom II x6 1090T
and AMD Gigabyte Radeon HD 6850. Both the bundles cost about the same. Which bundle is better?

Solution
GTX460 and 6850 are somewhat equivalent cards.

But from the cpu point of view, the 2500K is waay ahead of the 1090T for gaming.
Few games use more than two or three cores, so the added cores of the 1090T are not useful.
In addition, the 2500K cores are faster per clock, and can OC higher, easily past 4.0.
Your Intel bundle should include a P67 or Z68 based motherboard to permit overclocking of the "K".

i dont think the 560(non ti) is worth it atm as they tend to be overpriced and since the 460 is replaced the 460 is great value now
to the OP
get the 2500k/gtx460(make sure it isnt the 768mb version or the 460 se) as the 2500k at stock is better than the 1100t at gaming and is about the same n multi threaded apps and would fly past the 1090 in everything once overclocked, as tfor the 460 and the 6850 they are about the same in performance as the 460 is better in some cases but the 6850 is better in some but its only but a small margin so i would get the 2500k and the 460
