Im currently installing hyper 212 plus on my mb m4a88tm
Phenom x4 965
I have seen lot of tutorials ,i know the procedure exactly
But i cant tighten the four screws of the retention plate to the nuts from the back panel
I can tighten maximum of 3 screws ( only by tight streching )
For the fourth screw i cant even strech with great pressure
I have repeated the step again and again as told in some videos and website
But finally it alll ends as i said
Should i give even more pressure and connect the fourth screw
( will that affect my processor , or board)
Should i work with 3 screws connected ,
Im in urgent help,,,, plz some expert advice

You shouldn't be tightening down any of the screws until they have all be started. Undo the other three screws and start all 4 screws BEFORE tightening any one of them. It is a bad idea to have a 500g heatsink hanging off of your board and applying an uneven load to the board because you only have 3 screws in, it wont be making good connection with the CPU and you will be putting extra strain on the motherboard which will either hurt the board or cause the mounting system to fail prematurely.

ive hear other people have a similar issue with the 212 (its rare but not uncommon). its simply not compatible with every single mobo, the screws are too short for a small number of them. can you return the cooler?
