Hi,

im thinking of buying a GTX 460 because i can get one for £110. Is the 460 a good card for this price or should I get a different card?

460 is a good card, but be aware many companies selling SE's *smart editions, which are a lot slower and really not worth the money.

EDIT: TYPOS

Erm, it's still not faster than the HD 5850, so why pay more?

A HD 6870 is slightly faster than a HD 5850 and uses less power than both the HD 5850 and GTX 460.

GTX 460 is a great card. I bought it about a few months back and it still puts great performance in to every game. The card runs very cool and keeps stable on those heavy games. How ever if you are going to pick one up, i do suggest getting a 1gb model because that is going to increase your power dramatically. I mean i grab crazy framerates on most games released these days and sometimes just cant understand how im getting so much power out of such a little card. Its really worth the buy mate, and i do suggest to get the 1gb model. My version:
EVGA 1gb External Exhaust NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460

^i've used 5850 and 460, and i'd like to keep using the 5850. GTX460 was an awesome card, but 5850 has a lot more power and i could overclock it higher... just personal experience.
