Hey everybody just a quick question, is the software auto fan control better than the default fan control i have an evga gtx 460 EE and when i turn on the software control it makes it louder but keeps it around 5C cooler. I mean the noise buggs me a little but its not a super huge deal unless its pretty loud. and also I don't want the fans running 100% all the time while playing games. Thanks for the help in advance. :)

Yes it is better as the fan is not working as hard so it will have a longer life.

no it seems to work harder when the software option is applied. and also whats like um i guess the recomended temperature? i know that sounds wierd but it stays around 60 or a little lower while playing games with the software option disabled.

75+ is when you should start to worry... some cards can go over 90 before damage.
60 is fine.
