Crossfire on Gigabyte 970A-UD3?

I have a Gigabyte 970A-UD3 with a Radeon HD 6850 IceQ X and I already ordered the 2nd, but I'm reading things that you can't use Crossfire on this motherboard? Can anyone explain to me why you cannot, or how you can? Thank you.

Note that your slots will run at X16 and X4 speed because your second slot is limited to X4 speed.

+1 sorry to say this, but a waste of a 6850 running it at X4.

The first one supporting X16 X16 the second X8 X8 crossfire not that it matters much performance wise!
