Can A AM3 CPU Work In A AM3+ Socket?

I Want To Use:
CPU AMD Phenom II x6 1100T
Motherboard MSI 990XA-GD55
The Phenom II x6 Socket Is AM3 And The Motherboard Is AM3+
Basicly A AM3 CPU And A AM3+ Motherboard Will This Work?

Yes AM3 works in AM3+
