Hey all
I got a problem here
When i installed Crysis, and then clicked on its icon,a blank screen appeared(and when i was expecting to see the game) it crashed to windows with no errors,i tried reinstalling the game and it didnt help.
So i used the compatibility mode with VISTA 64 SP2 and the game started, but i lost about 15 FPS compared to Vista 64 SP1.
I have installed patch 1.2 and its still the same.
thanks

Hi, my Crysis crashes too, at first the game menu and movies works well, then suddenly when I go in game, the Crysis suddenly crashes ( the game has stopped working ) , but then I also tried it in multiplayer mode, here are what I got:
1.I use the beach stage, everytime I spawn from within a building, the game will eventually crash
2.in Beach also, if I spawn on top of a submarine, the game works fine, I can go around the submarine the go into the water, till that point everything works fine, then after arriving ashore, still fine, then I tried shooting the pistol, then CRASH
notice that everything is fine until I view a 3D graphic which maybe is causing the problem. ex: graphics inside building, pistol shooting action, etc because at that point the Crysis will crash
Still haven't found the solution, but I think it's not the OS causing this, but maybe it's a driver problem
note: I notice cliffro has the same problem with the ATI 4890, which is the similar card as mine, I think maybe its the VGA that's causing this
My system:
windows 7 32 bit
i7 920
ASUS P6TD Deluxe
Mushkin RAM
Sapphire Radeon HD4890 Vapor-X

Maziar,
What is your graphics card and which drivers are you using? The issue you describe sounds as though you may be experiencing some driver issues. Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located here http://tinyurl.com/9fhdl5 . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to also check the threads available there for additional assistance and feedback.

Crysis & Windows 7 64bit:
Here is what worked for me.
Installed Crysis, ran game. You will not need to run the 64bit launch icon. Crysis will automatically run the correct bit version based on your CPU. So simply run the short-cut placed on your desktop.
Once up and running change a few different settings; like keyboard config or show blood. Apply changes. If stable... go ahead and download version 1.1 and 1.2 DO NOT INSTALL 1.21 (1.21 is for 32bit only and will not run at all on a 64bit system).
I recommend running the game after each version install to check stability and to make sure the version updates through the launching of the game.
Once done with 1.1 and 1.2 install you should have a stable performance as I have had. Runs like a champ.

1 gig video card
1 terra byte harddrive

Thought I'd let you know I'm running Windows 7 x64 with a GTX260 and Crysis works perfectly fine; it's actually slightly faster than it was on Vista. Maybe it has something to do with the ATI card?
Well I have the same configuration as you except I have win 7 ult 64bit with nvidia 275oc. And crysis is running rough. It runs but sometimes skips to windows and then back again. I have cursor (aiming problems) in call of duty modern warfare 2 as well. It locks up and then makes that error sound and then turns loose. This sucks!!! I am going to buy 32 bit win 7 ult. and install it on another drive then I will have both. Maybe one day they will fix it.
werid i running 64 bit crysis but what i do is go into the crysis folder and go the the 32 bit version for osme odd reason 64 bit does not work for me haha ironic isnt it. Windows is weird. just be thankful that windows 7 fixed alot of issues that vista had but if you still can't get it to work aim me at spleee254 and il give you some other options
I'm running 64 bit Crysis in Win 7 and haven't had any problems using a 5870.
I have, however, had an interesting pop up which asked me to turn off aero due to a lack of memory (with 6gigs). I went ahead and switched to a win 7 basic theme, which turns off aero, and it ran perfect.
Perhaps you could try turning off Aero before trying to play Crysis. Maybe you don't have enough memory and it crashes without letting you know why.

I can play crysis for about 45 min then it crashes. (Every time).
Could this be a prob with vid drivers. Mine are up to date.
My system includes

ZALMAN CNPS9900ALED 120mm 2 Ball Low-noise Blue LED CPU Cooler
ENERMAX Galaxy EVO EGX1250EWT 1250W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready
Like I said all drivers are current and I have run this in every type of
compatibilty that is offered. I'm stumped!!

For those of you wondering, do try to go to Microsoft's website and download the DIRECT X END USER RUNTIME. All Windows versions only ship with the basic needed components. I have a fresh OEM version of Professional, and my download was 60mb! I don't know if it will help, but surely at least some of those components play a role in how Crysis runs.
