Hey all :) I got a problem here :(

When i installed Crysis, and then clicked on its icon,a blank screen appeared(and when i was expecting to see the game) it crashed to windows with no errors,i tried reinstalling the game and it didnt help.
So i used the compatibility mode with VISTA 64 SP2 and the game started, but i lost about 15 FPS compared to Vista 64 SP1.

I have installed patch 1.2 and its still the same.

thanks :)

I have no resolution, but I am glad to see its not just my friend with the problem. although he ends up crashing instead of low FPS.

He has an ATI card as well, a 4890. I'll watch this incase a solution is found.

thanks mac,and does it give u same FPS like VISTA/XP ?

I skipped Vista but W7 is generally faster/better, could be my imagination but it seems to handle FPS dips better as well. in games than XP, So far

Thought I'd let you know I'm running Windows 7 x64 with a GTX260 and Crysis works perfectly fine; it's actually slightly faster than it was on Vista.

Maybe it has something to do with the ATI card? :heink:

Maziar, My friend fixed his issue recently. He finally upgraded to Patch 1.21 and it fixed his issues.

I talked to him again last night, Apparently it only fixed the 32bit version, the patch did not touch the 64bit side according to him. That said he did play for several hours last night while we were on Teamspeak together.

i think the unpatched version (1.0) wont work on win7 x64

its a bit of a hassle for those pirated versions ;)

Hi, I have no problems

Hi, my Crysis crashes too, at first the game menu and movies works well, then suddenly when I go in game, the Crysis suddenly crashes ( the game has stopped working ) , but then I also tried it in multiplayer mode, here are what I got:

1.I use the beach stage, everytime I spawn from within a building, the game will eventually crash

2.in Beach also, if I spawn on top of a submarine, the game works fine, I can go around the submarine the go into the water, till that point everything works fine, then after arriving ashore, still fine, then I tried shooting the pistol, then CRASH

notice that everything is fine until I view a 3D graphic which maybe is causing the problem. ex: graphics inside building, pistol shooting action, etc because at that point the Crysis will crash

Still haven't found the solution, but I think it's not the OS causing this, but maybe it's a driver problem

note: I notice cliffro has the same problem with the ATI 4890, which is the similar card as mine, I think maybe its the VGA that's causing this

My system:
windows 7 32 bit
i7 920
ASUS P6TD Deluxe
Mushkin RAM
Sapphire Radeon HD4890 Vapor-X

Maziar,

What is your graphics card and which drivers are you using? The issue you describe sounds as though you may be experiencing some driver issues. Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located here http://tinyurl.com/9fhdl5 . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to also check the threads available there for additional assistance and feedback.
